Bill Murray has stepped back into his role as Peter Venkman from the Ghostbusters franchise, appearing in a Halloween advertisement for electric vehicle maker Rivian. The ad features Murray cruising through New York City in the Ecto-R1, a Ghostbusters-themed electric SUV built by Rivian.
The appearance comes as a surprise return to the franchise for the 75-year-old actor, though it sits outside any film project. Rivian launched the ad on 9 October 2026, in the lead-up to Halloween.
