Brewers manager Pat Murphy made some lineup changes for NLDS Game 3 against the San Diego Padres at Petco Park on Oct. 6. Brice Turang was moved out of his regular spot. The Brewers moved Chourio to the leadoff spot, a change that affected the order protection Chourio normally receives. Murphy discussed his strategy with reporters in San Diego before the game. He emphasized the importance of matchups and how he intended to build the lineup. Milwaukee entered Game 3 needing to close the gap on the Padres in the series.
