Prime Minister Mark Carney has called snap federal byelections for three Canadian seats. Voters in Brantford-Brant, Ontario; Châteauguay-Lacolle, Quebec; and Esquimalt-Saanich-Sooke, British Columbia will cast ballots on August 31. The Conservatives have vowed to push federal probes on two key issues: construction oversight of the Gordie Howe bridge and Washington’s proposed tariff measures.
