Robert Shaw Heaton , 59 died at Parris Island recently after being found by staffofficials at the basemilitary base in South Carolina. His death is now another tragedy in 2026 at the South Carolina basefollowing recent incidents at the site. The armed forces confirmed the loss but declined to comment further. Hilton Head Island Packet first reported the tragic discovery, whilelocal undertakers handled arrangementsmade for the service. Police are reviewing security footage yet offer no explanation so far.
