Jürgen Klopp has been officially named Germany’s head coach for Euro 2028 and the 2030 WC head coach, replacing Julian Nagelsmann. Klopp called the role a unique experience after discussions with the German FA. His appointment was announced on 24 July 2026 in Frankfurt. Klopp has warned the DFB he may quit immediately if media intrusion affects his private life . The former Liverpool manager described the job change using a movie-inspired metaphor when speaking of its impact. Nagelsmann left after the team’s Euro 2024 exit in a tournament on home soil.
