Lieutenant Lily-Mae Fisher lost her life when a Merlin Mk4 helicopter crashed during routine training in southwestern England, defence ministry confirms. Britain’s sole serving female Royal Navy Commando and had completed the All Arms Commando Course in 2022, earning the green beret. Prior to training, she graduated from Dartmouth in 2019. She served as a Watch Keeper on Op ISOTROPE, coordinating naval assets to deter migrant vessels. Tributes are being paid to the Royal Navy pilot who died in the Merlin Mk4 crash.
