A beluga whale was moved from Marineland in Niagara Falls, Ontario to a Chicago aquarium. It died shortly after the move. The move happened before the death.
Marineland also sent four dolphins and two belugas to an aquarium in Spain. Now the park has no dolphins left. Only belugas stay at the park.
The transfer left the grounds much quieter. Staff check water and health. Visitors notice a smaller number of animals. The park’s visitor count declined.
The wooded surroundings have not changed. The water is still strong. The park retains a small number of belugas. Visitors see fewer animal performances. The water stays clear.
