Tottenham Hotspur completed an £85 million deal for midfielder Mateus Fernandes on Friday. West Ham United accepted the offer after weeks of negotiations. Fernandes cleared his health checks and put pen to paper straight away. Manchester United made a bid earlier this year. Tottenham matched the asking price to secure the transfer. The midfielder will now link up with the squad before pre-season begins. The club announced the agreement after the paperwork was finalised late on Friday night.
