A plane from Air Canada veered off the taxiway at Montreal-Trudeau Airport on July 10. It hit the ground, and then moved onto the grass and ended up off the runway. Officials sealed the strip right away. There were no injuries during the incident, no matter how rough it felt.
That block closed takeoffs and landings for several hours. Cleanup crews dragged equipment to the site. Others examined the runway for damage. In the afternoon, flights resumed takeoffs and landings after the strip reopened.
