Nissan announced a recall for its X‑Trail SUV. The recall covers a defect in the steering column that might impact control. A 2025 model in dark metallic is shown on the web for purchase at about AU$45,000. The 2026 version adds Google built‑in technology and an explorer edition. Auto Express reported that the upgrades feel minor when driven. Nissan says spare components will be supplied free of charge.

The company rolled out the Tekton SUV designed for India and Africa. Will be built in Nissan’s plant in Japan for export for overseas markets. The rollout in South Africa is likely in the near future.
