Red Lobster has decided to close 163 of its restaurants. The chain has been around for 58 years. This comes amid a bigger wave of closures hitting the industry right now.

Some spots have already been confirmed. The Palm Desert, California location learned about it on a Monday. The Springfield branch is also closing. The company has not released the complete list yet, and they still have not said when all the shutdowns will be done. The closures were reported on 30 August 2026. Customers across the country are affected.
