Disney has postponed Star Wars: Starfighter and turned it into a television series. Shawn Levy will direct the project, which is set to follow The Mandalorian's soft links with the Star Wars universe. Jonathan Tropper crafted the script and believes that fans will welcome the series when it debuts. Disney has also halted all new Star Wars streaming shows for a year, clearing the path for this standalone series.
