The eastbound lanes of State Route 16 on the Tacoma Narrows Bridge were shut late Saturday night. Vehicles came to a halt after a warning went out. Deputies guided drivers on either side of the bridge. Crews started checking the structure right away. Officials have not stated why they closed it yet. Construction teams have not announced when the lanes will reopen.
