Australian Radio Network disclosed a $28 million loss alongside a 14 percent revenue fall for its first half. Legal fees and boycotts tied to the Kyle and Jackie O program cost ARN $55 million. This figure included a $38 million charge for damage related to brand safety. The network blamed host Kyle Sandilands for the steep drop in first-half revenue.
ARN chief Stephenson said that the broadcaster saw its metro revenue share shrink rather than rivals taking it away. ARN announced both replacement shows will go ahead this year.
