World Space Week 2026 is under way from October 4 to 10 under the theme "Rocket Revolution," centred on how falling launch costs could bring space within reach of more countries and organisations. Google celebrated the week with a dedicated Doodle, while Adafruit got involved with the week.

The European Space Agency teamed up with Pokemon GO to offer a time-limited Astronaut Pikachu to players during the week. Katara also joined activities connected to the event. World Space Week is the world's biggest yearly space celebration, marked in more than 90 countries.
